Mulmul Earth began with a simple question: what if we could hold onto the unhurried quality of a time before everything became instant? We work with a small collective of block printing artisan families in Rajasthan, whose craft has been passed down for generations. No machines. No shortcuts. Every imperfection is the mark of a human hand

The Craft

  • 01 — The Block

    Artisans carve intricate patterns into teak blocks — a process that can take several days for a single design

  • 02 — Natural Dye

    Dyes are mixed from natural pigments — indigo, turmeric, iron oxide — prepared fresh each morning by hand

  • 03 — The Print

    The block is pressed firmly across fabric stretched on long tables. Each stamp requires perfect pressure and rhythm

  • 04 — Sun & Air

    Printed cloth is laid in the open sun to set colours naturally — dried in air, washed in clean water, folded by hand
